A busy week and it is only Tuesday!
Lance went back to the hospital on the 25th for a follow-up for the episode of pnuemonia. They did an X-Ray and said he looked good! He then had to be back Monday morning for his cath we had to reschedule due to his illness. His biopsy came back a grade "0" which means no rejection. We had to adjust his meds slightly because when he was sick he was holding on to his anti-rejection medicine, but know that he is well he was getting it out as he is suppose to.
After his cath he had to go to pre-op for his ear surgery. He got his third set of tubes. We had to be there bright and early, really there was no bright about it, we had to be there at 6am. I am not a morning person, but oh wel,l what can you do. He was not a happy camper because he was hungry and thirsty and couldn't have anything. He finally went back to surgery at 8am and was back on the room by 9am. I wish they all were that quick. The doctor came in afterwards and told me "he had a LOT of fluid in his ears". I am sure his hearing has improved just from that.
He complained of a little pain, but not to much. I thought since they gave him Versed and Tylenol with codene that he would be conked out for the day. Not so much, he came back from the recovery room and started talking and hasn't stopped yet. He did really well and I am glad it is behind us and now we have no scheduled surgeries!!! The doctor told us that other then putting drops in his ears for 5 days, we wouldn't have to do anything special!! I was suprised that we wouldn't have to use ear plugs in the water!
I am glad we won't need ear plugs, because we have his Make-A-Wish Trip planned for April and I was concerned that he may be limited with the tubes. He is good to go! I want to Thank everyone that has put something together for us. We have had some really successful fundraisers and we appreciate everything!! If you go to the "Activities and Events" tab you can see what has been done for our little man! Thanks again!!!
