Valentine's Weekend
Lance came back to hospital on Friday due to him having a fever of 102.6 and they did an X-ray and some blood work and decided he needed to be admitted. They wanted to start him on IV antibotics. They have taken some samples of stuff from his throat and nose and expect the panels to be back in a couple of days. They said he has symptoms of pneumonia and part of his lungs are deflated. They said it sounds worse than it is.
They put him on three kinds of antibotics and he seems to be feeling pretty good. He is in good spirits and to me his cough already sounds better. They said they would possibly have the results tomorrow and then they can consult with the transplant team and see if he could go home on oral antibotics. We shall see.
He is due back here on Tuesday for his cath.
Lance has been up roaming the halls which is nice because when he has been here in the past, he has always been to weak. So it's nice to get him up in moving. We tried to go to the library to get some books but they weren't open yet, so we found some books out in the hallway and read several of those or I should say "Lance read those". Then he had also picked up a chapter book. He is so into trying to read chapter books. Someone in his class is obviously reading those. So we got a chapter book and it is one Emory would be reading, so needless to say he is working hard. He is really trying though, and he keeps saying "this isn't so bad" and I agree and help him along.
He looked out at the snow and thankfully wasn't to dissappointed he wasn't out in it. Emory is home having a ball in the snow with Daddy, Shannon, and Grandma Judy. I hope it is still there when we get home.
That's about it for now!
