Yesterday's cath and EEG.

Lance had his cath and EEG yesterday and the plan for the EEG was for us to keep him up as late as possible so that he would sleep during it. Lance was so tired and ready for bed at 9:00 p.m. and none of us really had the energy to keep him up for any type of party. I was also concerned with how I would drive him to his appt at 5:00am if we stayed up all night. I need my sleep!!! So we went to bed at 9:00p.m. and we got up at 3:00am to catch him up on some missed ICarly episodes. That seemed to do the trick.

We had to be at the hospital at 6:15am and get him checked in and ready for his EEG. He was a great sport and pretty much when the nurse told him to shut his eyes and go to sleep, that is exactly what he did. The EEG went really well and he didn't seem to have any seizure activity. We will get the official results in 3-4 days. If he didn't have have any signs of activity we can go ahead and start weening him off the Keepra. YEAH!!!!!!!!! That will be such a blessing! If his attitude doesn't return to normal after the Keppra is gone (what will I blame his 6 year old attitude on?) we will have some major work to do with him!

His Cath was right after the EEG and I was feeling really upbeat and not to nervous and then a cardiac fellow who I haven't meet before came in and introduced himself to me and went over the risks involved with the cath. Hearing those risks again kind of put me on edge, not that I didn't know them but you kind of put them out of your head. I probably would have stressed the whole time, but thankfully Michelle (my sister-n-laws, sister-n-law) came right after that and she did a great job of keeping my mind occupied.

The cath went great and his CVP was perfect once again. It was a 6 and this number use to be 18 prior to and right after his heart transplant. That was a number that was of great concern and it is such a relief for it to be perfect! We will hear sometime today what his grade is regarding rejection. I feel  confident that it will be "0" which means no rejection.

Emory is doing great and continues to be such a trooper with all of this activity. He is playing soccer and has done really well and has his last tournament game tonight! Go Emory!!
